Engine Cooling System Solutions
Auto Eng have enjoyed a 20 year supplier relationship with a major off road engine cooling specialist. Small to medium batch machining requirements of several variations of aluminium and steel fan hub and intricate shaped steel forged fan blade components are manufactured to order.
A particular Customer concern was highlighted with the need to substantially reduce the lengthy manufacturing process without compromising the stringent quality demands of the product. In partnership we agreed to re-design work holding, manufacture and hold stock of generic variants of fan hub assemblies and fan blade in preparation for specific order.
Our machinist could then tailor the generic unit to meet the exact variant required therefore reducing process lead times by over 80% giving our Customer the confidence to supply faster turnaround delivery dates whilst maintaining that the precise craftsmanship required does not suffer.
