The Machines
Here at Auto Engineering we can offer CNC turning capacities from 6mm to 450mm diameter by 700mm in length. A wide range of machining centre working envelopes are catered for up to axis travel X 820mm/Y 520mm/Z 510mm and payloads to 400Kg. Conventional toolroom machinery including Cincinnatti Powermatic mills, Jones and Shipman surface grinders, Amada bandsaws, production drills, lathes, Capstans, presses and MIG welding facilities enable Auto Engineering to offer our Customers suggestions for work holding solutions. We undertake in-house fixture improvements, maintenance and repair to ensure that production is maximised and downtime interruptions are kept to a minimum.
Recent Investments
To compliment and increase our machining centre capacity Auto recently purchased a new Matchmaker VMC820 this powerful machine offers increased programming versatility using the Fanuc Oi-MC conversational programming system, a 8000 RPM oil cooled spindle and can easily handle loads up to 400Kg. This addition to our existing machining centre suite has already reduced cycle times and enabled faster response times to Customer orders.
Due to an increase in large diameter small batch production work Auto Eng recently invested in a heavy duty 15” chuck CNC turning centre this powerful production unit has slashed the machining cycle times of our stainless and tool steel production projects.
